We are committed to promoting democracy, human rights, and social justice.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>There are many television and radio networks in the Philippines, but most of them are&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>large commercial networks <\/strong><strong>owned and operated by private profit-oriented corporations. Being commercial in nature, they are in the business mainly for profit. They may not admit it, but the public service side of the business is second priority or maybe further down in the list. They are understandably often criticized for biased programming and lack of transparency in their operations.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>COOP RTVN is different. It is owned and operated by the members of a duly registered Service Cooperative, supported by a network of small business owners and professionals.&nbsp; <\/strong><strong>We are the only cooperative-owned media network in the Philippines.&nbsp; <\/strong><strong>We exist as a business, which means we will need to raise funds and obtain resources that are necessary for the business to continue, but our main objective is to serve our members and the&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>general&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>public.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For COOP<\/strong>&nbsp;RTVN, our programming thrust is directed towards serving as a model for how media should perform its significant role in society. We aim not only to inform and entertain the audience but also to inspire each individual to become a responsible citizen who loves their country and our democratic way of life; it is only then that we can expect the public to help their neighbors and work together to make sure their community becomes a better place to live in.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The PMNSC and COOP RTVN are guided by our mission to continue to be aware of the important issues that affect the nation in general and our communities in particular.
