The Taguig City government, through its Cooperative Development Office, held a Cooperative Compliance Handholding Caravan on April 10 at the TCU Auditorium, assisting local cooperatives in meeting regulatory requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The activity was conducted in partnership with the Cooperative Development Authority and in collaboration with several cooperative groups, including the Union of Defense and Public Safety Cooperatives, the Cooperative Union of Taguig and Pateros, the Taguig Cooperative Development Council, and the Philippine Media Network Service Cooperative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The one-stop-shop initiative aimed to help cooperatives secure their Certificates of Compliance by streamlining the process from verification to issuance. Services provided included compliance assessment, evaluation of mandatory reports, bookkeeping assistance, auditing support, and on-site processing of certificates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
External auditors from ACDI, including certified public accountants Bernadeth Balagot, Joel Mondido and Jefry Liparto, supported the activity. Additional personnel from ACDI Multipurpose Cooperative, including accountants, bookkeepers and technical staff, were also deployed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A total of 50 cooperatives participated in the caravan. Of these, 46 were issued Certificates of Compliance on the same day, while four are expected to complete the process in a subsequent activity of the Cooperative Development Authority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
City officials said they will continue assisting the remaining cooperatives and encouraged others to participate in future compliance caravans to support stronger governance and sustainable cooperative enterprises in Taguig and Pateros.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
